Happy Birthday, Princess Em!

Today is a special day.

Emery, my sweet little granddaughter, turns six today!  Mary and I are home in Colorado, so we'll need to celebrate with her over Zoom.  It's not the same as being with her in person, but it will have to do until they visit us later this summer.

We're hoping she has a great time with her mom and dad, her awesome brothers, and friends and family who are lucky enough to see her on her special day.

Happy Birthday, Emery!   We love you to pieces, or as Grandma would say, "To the moon and back!"

Today is also the birthday of another Princess Em. 

"To The Moon And Back - A Princess Em Adventure" has been published and is available starting today.  I wrote the story for Emery, and its characters should be familiar to those who know me and my kids (please note:  I am not really that grumpy).  

The book was illustrated by Martin Dirk, the same artist who worked with me on my Buzz and The Little Guy Adventure.  He does amazing work and his visualization of the world I created for Princess Em is incredible.  It really brings the story to life.

Anyway, if you're interested, you can click on the "Books by Rick Abel" tab of calinkery.com for information on how to order a copy.  Or you can just go to your favorite retailer's website (Amazon, Barnes and Noble or Walmart), enter "Rick Abel" into their search engine and it should be somewhere in the results.  You may need to scroll down to find it, though.
